What is Qb Test?
Qb Test is an in-clinic assessment for individuals aged 6 to 60 FDA-cleared . It combines a continuous performance task with infrared motion tracking to measure ADHD symptoms. The test takes 15–20 minutes and produces a visual report comparing the patient's performance to age- and sex-matched controls without ADHD. This objective data complements traditional subjective assessments like interviews and rating scales, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and clinical confidence .
Benefits of QB Test:
- Objective, Quantifiable Data - Unlike subjective reports or questionnaires, the QB Test provides measurable results based on performance and motion. Helps reduce bias or inconsistencies in ADHD diagnosis.
- Enhances Diagnostic Accuracy - Supports clinicians in confirming or ruling out ADHD. Often used alongside clinical interviews and rating scales to improve overall diagnostic confidence.
- Tracks Treatment Effectiveness - Can be used before and after treatment (e.g., medication or behavioral therapy) to measure improvements in attention and activity. Helps fine-tune medication dosage or assess whether treatment is working.
- Useful for Both Children and Adults - The test is age-adjusted, making it appropriate across a wide age range. Particularly helpful in adult ADHD assessments, where symptoms may be more subtle.
- Supports Communication with Schools or Insurance - The clear, visual reports can help support requests for accommodations at school or work. Also valuable when submitting for insurance claims or reimbursement.
